Note: waterjet nozzle is also known as mixing tube. This is because the abrasive is mixed with water and accelerated inside this nozzle. The common length of nozzle is 3 inches. But there are also 4, 5, 6 inch long nozzle available. With the additional length, it is believed the abrasive gets accelerated more and the jet is more focused when exiting the nozzle. As a result, the cutting speed is improved. In addition, with everything else the same, the smaller id of the nozzle, the better focus of the jet, and the faster of cutting.
